Cobblestone in Pembroke Pines is a newer development that was built by Standard Pacific Homes between the years of 2005 & 2015. It consists of a total 774 family dwellings, the majority of which are made up of fee simple town homes and the minority a concentration of condominiums throughout the center of the community.

Community amenities include a resort style swimming pool; exercise room; fountain and greenery central piece for the enjoyment of the residents and wide, expansive paved sidewalks throughout the length of the entire development.

There are a variety of floor plans in both the condominium and town home products, the smallest of which are comprised of 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms with 1,040 square feet of living space under air, and the largest of which are comprised of 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms with 2,168 square feet of living space under air with 2 car garages and commodious front and rear courtyards.

The Sycamore Floor Plan

This is one of my two favorite Cobblestone “Courtyards” floor plans. I am the author of this article so I get to have two if I want…and if you decide to call me up to list your Cobblestone town home or condominium and it happens to be a different floor plan don’t worry…I’ll still get you top dollar because the truth be told I know all of the pros and cons on all of the units and the pros always far outweigh the cons.

The “Sycamore” is always a corner unit town home that features:

  • 2,168 square feet of living space under air
  • 3 bedrooms (always upstairs) 
  • 2 & 1/2 bathrooms (half bathroom downstairs and the 2 full bathrooms upstairs)
  • 2 car garage
  • very generous sized entrance courtyard that features the main entry door plus French doors opening out from the downstairs family room
  • smaller yet still ample rear courtyard
  • the largest kitchen of all floor plans with the most counter space and cabinetry
  • open concept layout throughout the downstairs living area
  • spacious master bedroom with his / her closets and room to spare for generous sized furniture
  • master bathroom with both a jetted soaking tub and separate shower
  • his / her sinks in the master bathroom

This is by far the most open concept layout floor plan in the “Courtyards” line of town homes and also one of the two largest. It affords its owners more privacy as it is always a corner unit and the large front courtyard provides a great space for entertaining and “hanging out” with friends and family during the normal course of the day.

Sycamores are always well lit, again because of their corner positioning and additionally because of the builder’s generosity with large windows throughout.

Of course this unit and the following are always at the top of the price points within the Cobblestone market because of their square footage and desirable layouts.

The Tamarind Floor Plan

This is my other top performer in the community and offers its owners many advantages, especially in its versatility regarding the option to convert an upstairs loft into an additional bedroom.

The “Tamarind” floor plan always features the following:

  • interior lot position – never a corner unit
  • 2,168 square feet of living space under air
  • 3 bedrooms (1 of which is downstairs)
  • 3 full bathrooms (1 of which is downstairs)
  • upstairs loft (easily converted into a 4th bedroom upstairs)
  • 2 car garage
  • very generous sized entrance courtyard that features the main entry door plus French doors opening out from the kitchen which is conducive to a great grilling / entertaining setup
  • smaller yet still ample rear courtyard
  • open concept layout throughout the downstairs living area
  • spacious master bedroom with his / her closets and room to spare for generous sized furniture
  • master bathroom with both a jetted soaking tub and separate shower
  • his / her sinks in the master bathroom

As I mention in the bullet points above this floor plan is easily converted to a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom town home – there’s room to grow. If the upstairs loft is not converted into an additional bedroom, then “Tamarind” owners have themselves a very generous sized game / entertainment area or a great space for a home office…
